“The shoulder bone is connected to the ….elbow bone!”

Instructors will tell you over and over to look at the whole person.  As a clinician, I cannot tell you how important it is to ask a million questions.  Even if a patient’s main complaint is of wrist pain, be sure to ask if they are having neck or shoulder pain.  Palpation of the entire upper extremity is key in treating the patient appropriately.  “The shoulder bone is connected to the ….elbow bone!”
