Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct:

Welcome to the Hand Therapy Resource Center (HTRC). We're so glad you've decided to participate in our online community. This site was designed to assist you in increasing your knowledge about hand therapy, to meet others who are preparing for the CHT examination or for CHTs with similar interests regarding hand therapy.
This is now your community. So please keep it friendly and safe. By participating in the Hand Therapy Resource Center Community, you're agreeing to observe all of our Community Standards and Conduct Guidelines, which are part of our Terms and Conditions. We've highlighted a few of our important rules as a reminder:

  • BE COURTEOUS. BE TOLERANT. You're about to encounter many new friends in our community, with many new and interesting viewpoints. Please be respectful and tolerant of everyone you meet, even if you disagree with their opinions. Don't use language that is threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful or racially or ethnically objectionable. And don't engage in personal attacks. This includes the Hand Therapy Resource Center staff, who work hard to keep our Community an enjoyable and informative place to visit.
  • KEEP IT CLEAN, PLEASE. Express yourself freely. But get your message across without resorting to foul language. Postings that contain vulgar or obscene language will not be tolerated in our community. This includes known acronyms and slang. As for photos, keep them tasteful. We want everyone to feel comfortable here.
  • DON'T ADVERTISE. Please help keep our community "commercial free." Never post any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional items, junk mail or "spam." Soliciting may include promoting a home business, charity drives, items for auction, etc., as well as information such as a contact address or web URL.
  • DON'T POST INFORMATION COPYRIGHTED BY OTHERS. Information copyrighted or owned by others should not be posted in our community. Please be aware that if you post any copyrighted information, you will be held responsible. The Hand Therapy Resource Center is not responsible for any posts that violate copyright laws. Copyrighted information may include content from another website or our subscriber-only areas, a photo from a book, and Intellectual Property.
  • RESPECT OUR HAND THERAPY RESOURCE CENTER COMMUNITY TEAM. Our friendly community team includes staff and volunteers who've agreed to spend time maintaining a safe, harassment-free online community. You may not encounter us all the time, but we do try to stay in touch with what's happening in the community. Please help us do our jobs by paying attention to our posts and trying to follow any suggestions. Please respect their efforts.
  • SHARE Our community groups are a great place to offer and receive assistance with our website. Many experienced subscribers are eager to help anyone troubleshoot a technical issue or locate a feature or service. However, if you do not get the help you need, please use the Contact Us link.
  • DO NOT SHARE CONTENT REGARDING THE CHT EXAMINATION. Sharing information regarding the content of the CHT examination including but not limited to posting questions that you remember from the exam will result in the immediate termination of your subscription to the site as well as possible revocation of your CHT credential or denial of eligibility to sit for the examination for a period of 10 years.
  • SITE PASSWORD. Do not share your site password with others or use your password as a means to circumvent the need for others to become authorized subscribers to the website. Your subscription allows for the use of the website by you alone. Using another persons screen name is not allowed and will result in immediate termination of your subscription as well.
  • SUBSCRIPTIONS.  There are two subscription levels, a non-CHT subscription and a CHT subscription. If a non-CHT knowingly subscribes to the reduced priced CHT subscription level, their subscription will be revoked and their subscription fee will NOT be refunded.
  • SITE CONTENT. All content on the website is the sole property of HTCC/HTRC and shall not be reproduced and used in course books or any other educational materials.
  • WE RESERVE OUR RIGHTS. We reserve the right to remove any postings on our boards. If you fail to observe our Community Standards and Conduct Guidelines, we may terminate your participation in the Community.

REPORTING A POST. If you see a post that violates our rules, please help notifying HTRC at info@handtherapyresources.com Indicate the posting and your reason for reporting this posting. Avoid reporting posts or threads based on the identity of individuals but rather on the actual content of their post or profile. Our community team will not take sides of a conflict and will only act on specific violations.
